You should know that you can only be Divorced after you have been separated for 12 months or more. This is the formal ending of your marriage and does not include a property settlement or children’s arrangements that can be resolved or integrated when necessary at any time following a separation.

"Separation" includes being separated under the same roof although additional affidavits will need to be filed with the Court.
